Our Summer ♡

My favorite season of the year has come! I have been enjoying our summer soooo much! Summer is when I can wear so little (not that I am sexy but I have always loved wearing tank tops and skirts and flip flops!) and stay outside for as long as you want! This summer we had our 1st time eating breakfast outside the house. It was a great experience! :)

Last summer before we moved to our new home we had bought this mushroom set with a table and two stools. This summer we are finally enjoying them :D See the breakfast on the table? Hubby made it! It was chocolate chip and banana pancakes with spinach and cheese scrambled eggs :D

Before summer officially arrived, the blooming trees at our yard was our first excitement.

Little by little we fixed up the outside mess from the harsh winter and put different flowers together to make our home colorful :)

I crocheted two cords of butterflies for decorating the outside too!

Watering our plants has become my duty.

Hubby does the harder part. We have been working on uprooting dead bushes and trimming our trees. I stay outside to help him with things that I can handle although I risk getting sunburn and bitten by mosquitoes (I am allergic to mosquitoes too!). I have told him I really don't think a lot of girls would do that! :P

One thing I like about living here is the plentiful selections of flowers. I absolutely loved this scene as soon as we entered the store. It made me happy just to see the colors.

I fell in love with these pink daisies at the store. They looked even prettier in person!

I think people usually say their appetite is better during the cold winter time but mine is actually opposite. I am hungry all the time in the summer. I had to get a summery cupcake - it was watermelon flavored :)

Smoothies! We usually get pomegranate or berry or mango. Can't stop drinking them.

Am I the only person who would be in the mood for fried food in the summer time? I get hungry for fish and chips and fried chicken, hehe! Here we were having lemonade with our fried chicken meal :)

Hubby is supposed to be the ice cream monster but I am starting to be one too. We were so evil we even added fudge, chocolate chips and syrup to customize our treats :P

This was the tastiest toasted coconut ice cream I have ever had!

And I even made request to buy ice cream when we were out! What is happening to me???

Hubby was my cycling teacher. Because of him I can enjoy bike riding and feeling the summer breeze against my face.

Happy Summer to you too if you are reading this!

  1. I attract mosquitoes like crazy too. My husband often tells me when I'm around, he need not worry about getting mosquito bites.

I wonder how you two stay so fit while eating fried food and ice cream loaded with goodies. "Gardening work" must be tough, lol!

    1. Poor you! I have tried every way to get the mosquitoes off me and so far the mosquito repellent bracelets work for me. I still would get bitten but it's like 1 bite VS 5 bites without the bracelets.

Thanks for calling us fit! I honestly don't feel as healthy as I used to be. I have got to hit the gym to get my muscles back :(

  2. Happy summer!^^ It is hot here in Canada too! I never knew Canada could be so hot=o=.

I love nurseries too! I've always wanted to have a little backyard of my own, and plant whatever I like *v*

In Hong Kong, I didn't understand why people liked looking at flowers. But now that I'm in North America, I finally see the magic beauty of the natural!

    1. Thanks!! :) Canada is hot but not humid like HK, right? It should be nice!
Hopefully you can own a backyard someday during your stay in the U.S.?
