By tomorrow we will be officially married for FOUR years! Wow! Time goes by so fast that it is hard to believe we are married and we are together and we still feel sweet. I am gonna share how we celebrated our anniversaries from Hong Kong to America in all these years!

Our 1st Wedding Anniversary, 2010

We came back to the States that summer. Back to the day after our wedding one year ago, Brandon and I were checking out from a Bed and Breakfast Inn nearby our chapel ... It is a beautiful inn! We chose it because it was near where we got married and we could get a good rest afterwards. One more reason was each room has its own theme and we got to choose the wedding themed room! So it was extra meaningful. So as Brandon was checking out he suddenly told the manager, "Could you reserve the same room for us next year on the same date?" I looked at him, and he said, "Would you like that too, baby?" I was actually very surprised! We made a yearly long appointment! A pretty romantic idea, do you think so?

The Inn keeps a journal in the room. We wrote an entry for memories after our wedding night. The second year we came back we wrote another entry and read again what we had previously written. Pretty cool!

To celebrate we also left town for paddle-boat ride, horseback riding and roller coaster rides!

Our 2nd Wedding Anniversary, 2011
That summer we didn't come back to the States. One reason was because I was studying a summer course. During my lesson hours, Brandon secretly prepared for a surprise for me. I had no idea he could do all that because he actually traveled with me to the lesson and came back to pick me up after my lesson. He somehow found time to do his mission in between. Amazing!!! Everything you see on the table was his preparation!

Do you see he actually prepared the table similar to our wedding reception sweetheart table? That's what he told me his intention was. I think he actually did better! He touched the waiter's heart of the hotel so much he let him do whatever he wanted on that table, haha!

I have always loved heart shaped jewelry. This is one of my favorites I received on our special day. The purple one on my middle finger is an amethyst gem, which is my favorite color. He gave it to me the very first time we met in person! Can you believe amethyst is his birthstone because he was born in February? And my birthstone is sapphire which is his favorite color, blue! So his birthstone is my favorite color and mine is his favorite color, too! What an amazing coincidence!!

We also hired a photographer for a photo session as a gift to ourselves. That was a lot of fun!!

Our 3rd Wedding Anniversary, 2012
That summer was unforgettable too, because we were actually physically apart! He was back to the States while I was still waiting in Hong Kong. But we tried our best to make it special and memorable. We celebrated with a video chat on Skype! We talked at least 3 hours straight!!! How did we do that???

He made me this card and sent the electronic copy to me. Actually I own a whole folder of handmade cards from him since we started to date. I sometimes still enjoy flipping through them and smile big and feel luckier that we have made it this far!

Our 4th Wedding Anniversary, 2013 - This summer we have been crazily busy and exhausted over working on our new home, decorating and improving! We are 1st home buyers so everything is fresh to us and overwhelming! However, we were determined to squeeze some time to celebrate, at least to relax and enjoy each other! We decided to go back to our Inn again for some peace and relaxation and also visit a garden, enjoy the outdoors, take some pictures, be sweet.
I wonder if hubby will surprise me this year? He might not have had time to do anything though. I would "forgive" him, hehe! As for me, I made him a video of a recap of our big moments in all these years of our marriage. The background song's lyrics speak truthfully to me ... I still can't help falling in love with him! :)
